How Can We Help?

Problematic sexual behavior (PSB) is sexualized behavior in children and adolescents that’s beyond normative and developmentally appropriate. This includes:

•Child(ren)-initiated behaviors
•Involve sexual body parts (i.e., genitals, anus, buttocks, breasts, and/or mouth)
•Potentially harmful to self and/or others
•Developmentally inappropriate

With successful completion of PSB treatment, the percentage of youth who cease PSB is 98%.

Specialized Care Coordinators can help with the following:

  • Family Engagement: SCC provides PSB-related psychoeducation and resources to families affected by PSB.
  • Youth and Family Referrals: SCC refers youth and families to PSB treatment services.
  • Community Resources: SCC provides resource information to youth and families regarding other social service needs they may have.
  • Community Engagement and Education:  SCC provides training, education, and raises awareness about Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB) and the statewide response for community stakeholders.
